How annoying is it to find out that you don't have enough print credit at the very moment that you want to print?
To prevent this from happening you can switch on automatic top-up. In that case you are always able to print.
This is how it works:
Choose a minimum top-up amount and authorize automatic top-up
When switching on automatic top-up you can choose your minimum top-up amount (e.g. €5) and you pay with iDEAL only once. When the payment is successful, automatic top-up will be switched on and your current print credit will be topped up directly with the chosen minimum top-up amount.
When will your print credit be topped up automatically?
At the end of the day your current print credit will be checked. When your print credit is less than €1 your print credit will be topped up automatically.
When calculating the top-up amount two rules apply:
- The print credit after top-up is at least €3 (this is the print credit threshold).
- When the amount needed to top up your print credit to €3 is less than the minimum top-up amount you have chosen your print credit will be topped up with the minimum top-up amount (e.g. €5).
Example: your current print credit is -€1
Chosen minimum top-up amount is €5.
Current print credit is -€1.
To top up your print credit to the print credit threshold of €3 your print credit would have to be topped up with €4. However, this amount is less than the chosen minimum top-up amount, so your print credit will be topped up with €5.
Your new print credit will be -€1+€5 = €4.
Example: your current print credit is -€4
Chosen minimum top-up amount is €5.
Current print credit is -€4.
To top up your print credit to the print credit threshold of €3 your credit has to be topped up with €7.
Your new print credit will be -€4+€7 = €3.
Pay afterwards
After the automatic top-up transaction you can immediately use your new print credit. The top-up amount will be debited from your bank account within a few days.
